Release 2025, July
The following enhancements and improvements to existing functionality have been released this month.
2025-07-31
VAT report no. was not set
Previously, the VAT report no. was not set when a VAT report was sent to Visma.net AutoReport. The VAT report no. was missing from the VAT period and transactions tables. This has been solved.
Improved printout filtering in Task automation

Keyboard shortcuts for Mac users
You can now use all the keyboard shortcuts also on a Mac, but instead of Ctrl on a PC, you use Cmd on your Mac, for example Cmd + C to copy. You find the list of supported keyboard shortcuts in Business NXT, in the menu below your name.
Improved clarity when reversing finished quantities on allocated orders
Previously, when you tried to reverse the finished quantity on an allocated purchase or production order line, the system would not allow it, but it also didn't tell you why. Now, if you attempt to reverse a finished quantity, you will get a message telling that the operation can't be done if there are allocated order lines.

SIE import
Several improvements have been made to the SIE import functionality:
- The validation time of an imported SIE file including #BTRANS and #RTRANS posts has been significantly reduced.
- Previously, you couldn't import large SIE files, as the maximum file size to upload is 10 MB. Now, upload of zipped SIE files is also supported, allowing larger files to be imported.
- Non-numeric voucher series from the SIE file were ignored and treated as empty, making it impossible to handle them individually. This has been solved.
- If you selected to import accounts and to update account names from the SIE file, and the account name was empty or not defined in the SIE file, the name was incorrectly overwritten in Business NXT. This has been solved.
Invoice information available for debt collection agreements
In the Debt collection agreement table, you can now select underlying values for the Invoice information field column based on the selection made in the Invoice information type column.

Deletion of accounting documents
Improvements have been made to avoid issues with documents that are still in the approval process:
- You can no longer delete accounting documents or batches that are in an active approval flow, or belong to a batch or updated batch. If you try to do this, helpful messages will be displayed.
- For batches, deletion is only allowed if they haven’t been sent for approval or if the approval has been fully completed or rejected. When a batch is deleted, the status of the related accounting document will automatically change to Nothing to process. The accounting document will still be visible under the All Documents tab in the standard layout. From there, the status can be updated, and the document can be reprocessed if needed.
- To prevent from unintentional manual deletion, you can no longer delete attachments of types 1 - Invoice XML, 3 - Main PDF or 5 - Main HTML directly from the Accounting document attachment table. If you for some reason need to delete an attachment, you first have to change the attachment type. Accounting documents are deleted from the Accounting document table, and all related attachments including legal documents, will be deleted automatically.
- To prevent accidental deletion when using pre-registration of supplier invoices (used by the Swedish market), a restriction has been implemented. To be able to delete a cost batch or an accounting document that is part of a pre-registered batch, you first need to run the Reverse pre-registration processing in the Batch table to ensure that all pre-registered transactions are properly reversed. A message about this restriction will also be displayed.
Accounting rule action groups
Accounting rule actions that sum up to more than a 100% share are now supported in the Rule Suggester, using a new Groups column, referring to the Action group no. in the Accounting rule action table. Each group of actions are processed independently, and totals are calculated per group, allowing for multiple groups each summing to 100% or more. Rounding logic remains unchanged but is now applied at the group level.
Exempt from reminder
Status update for reports
You can now find out the status of a report sent to Visma.net AutoReport by running the Request status update processing in the AutoReport archive table.

Update of batch under approval
Previously, when updating a batch that was already in the approval flow, the original batch was still visible in the non updated batch tab. Now, when you update a batch in approval, the original batch is automatically deleted as expected. Manual deletion restrictions during approval remain in place, and you will still see a warning if you try to delete a batch manually.
Batch invoicing
If a batch invoice had more than one attachment, the invoicing process would not complete as expected.
Removal of warning message about missing delivery alternative
Previously, when creating a new purchase order line with a product that didn't have a delivery alternative set for the selected supplier, the warning message Alternative delivery for product X from supplier Y is missing was displayed. This has been removed, since the information wasn't relevant.
Opening layouts from the Task overview
When opening a layout with several tabs from the Task overview, the first tab of the layout would always open even if the correct destination was a different tab. This has been solved.
Download - Print to PDF in the Send dialog
There was an issue related to the functionality Download - Print to PDF in the Send dialog. While the order status was updated correct, no PDF was created. The issue was affecting all delivery methods set in Document delivery method except for Printout (PDF). This has been solved.
Sending invoices to Visma AutoCollect
Under certain circumstances when sending invoices to Visma AutoCollect, entries in the Open customer entry table were supplied with a Debt collection ID even if the invoice wasn't wasn't sent to Visma AutoCollect. Now, the Debt collection ID will only be added after being successfully sent to Visma AutoCollect.
Retrieving and updating settlements from Visma AutoCollect
The automatic retrieval and update of settlements from Visma AutoCollect didn't work as expected, and you had to manually run the Retrieve AutoCollect information processing in the Open customer entry table and the Update new settlements from AutoCollect in the Debt collection agreement table. Now this works as expected again.
Invoices from Visma AutoInvoice
Handling of payment information in Peppol BIS 3.0 invoices from Visma AutoInvoice has been improved, and now supports Bankgiro and Plusgiro variants using PaymentMeansCode = 56 and non-standard branch codes (such as BGABSESS). This ensures correct interpretation and routing of Swedish giro payments even when the source deviates from strict Peppol format.

Fetching approval status from Visma.net Approval
The Fetch approval status processing is now available in the Batch table, to facilitate updating the approval status in case the communication with Visma.net Approval was interrupted, causing batches to remain with incorrect approval status.
You need to start the processing manually when there is an approval status mismatch between Visma.net Approval and Business NXT.

Pre-registration for Swedish customers
Pre-registration of supplier invoices is now completely supported for the Swedish market:
- The Suspended setting is removed on the final booking batch after approval is performed.
- The same voucher number is used on both the pre-registration and final booking batch.
- To avoid errors, it's not possible to use the Reverse pre-registration processing on a batch that has been sent to Visma.net Approval.
- After a document has been approved in Visma.net Approval, the Priority field is updated on the Open supplier entry post to enable payments.
- The Voucher processing option makes it possible to lock the interim account line in Visma.net Approval (see details in the release note below).

Locking vouchers from manual editing
It's now possible to restrict manual editing of fields in a voucher line, by enabling the Voucher processing option in the Voucher and Updated voucher tables. This function is specifically designed for Swedish companies working with pre-registration.
When running the Update supplier transactions processing in the Batch table, the Voucher processing option will be automatically enabled on voucher lines in the Voucher table, if the following conditions are met:
- The voucher line contains the general ledger account specified in the Interim cost account field in the Company information table
- Pre-registration for incoming invoices is selected for Workflow processing in the Company information table
This function restricts manual editing of fields in the affected voucher lines while allowing all processing activities to continue operating without regards to this setting. You can also enable and disable the Voucher processing option manually.
Deletion of accounting documents
When a document is deleted from the Accounting document table, all related attachments are now also deleted.
New default layout
A new default layout, Intrastat (13109), has been added to support reporting EU trade statistics. You find the layout in the Warehouse/Reports folder.
The layout depends on some fields in the Calculated column table:
- *Intrastat net weight
- *Must be 0
- *Amount in cur.
- *Amount.
- *Qty
- *Art A
- *Art B
These fields are present in the default setup.
