Release 2026, September

The following enhancements and improvements to existing functionality have been released this month.

2026-09-30

Cross reference lookup used Invoice no. instead of Reference

When matching open customer and supplier entries using the Cross reference column (from the voucher line), the system now correctly returns the value from the Reference field. The value from Invoice no. gave an error message, but now when the value is fetched from the Reference field, the matching completes correctly.

Improved preregistration flow when sending documents for approval (Sweden)

When a cost batch is sent on approval flow, the Active approval task no. is now also updated on the related supplier transaction. This makes it easier to trace the approval from the Open supplier entry, even though the supplier batch itself was not sent for approval.

Restore original sorting

You can now restore a table's original sorting by right-clicking on the column header and selecting Reset sorting. Similarly, you can view/update the current sorting by selecting the Sorting menu item.

Missing or untranslated information in row headers on printouts

Previously, some information in row headers on reminders/interest notes and order document printouts was missing or not translated:

  • Columns with a digit in their name (such as "Freight 2") displayed an "@" sign in the column headers instead of the digit. This occurred on documents printed in a language other than the user interface language.
  • Row headers used the user interface language for column name extensions like "in currency" and "in EURO" and not the document language.

This has been solved.

Reservations not withdrawn when order type changed

Changing the order type of an order to Unprocessed or Budget didn't withdraw existing reservations (Reserved from stock). The reserved quantity stayed on the order lines, the shipments and the stock balance. After regenerating stock balances, the balance no longer showed the reservation while the order lines still did, so the same stock could be reserved by several orders and physical stock could go negative when invoicing. Reservations are now withdrawn in the same way as when changing the order type to Offer.

Regional format in Language table

When the Regional format column isn't filled out in the Language table, the date, time and amount formats are retrieved from the server; this results in incorrect formatting for many languages on reminders, interest notes and order documents. The standard company and demo files (xxxfirm.txt and xxxdemo.txt) have now been updated with the correct values.

Improved preregistration flow for incoming supplier invoices (Sweden)

Previously, automatically sending on flow wasn't recommended together with Swedish preregistration, because the document could be sent to Approval before the preregistration process had completed. This could result in the initial batch being sent to Approval instead of the final cost batch. Now, the system now validates the preregistration flow before sending the document to Approval.

Create rule processing prevented for voucher lines with rounding accounts

Running the Create rule processing is now prevented for voucher lines where Rounding account has been configured in the Company information table. If no Rounding account is configured, the account is treated as a regular general ledger account and the Create rule processing remains available.

2026-09-24

Values in calculated columns not shown

When a product was added to an order line, the values in any calculated columns were blank until the order was saved. This has been solved.

2026-09-23

Hyphens in column headers when exporting to Excel

Previously, when exporting tables from Business NXT to Microsoft Excel, some column headers in the exported file could contain unintentional hyphens. This has been solved.

Rule suggestions timed out

Previously, when running the Suggest rules processing for companies with a large volume of historical voucher data, the first run would sometimes repeatedly time out while processing the historical data. Now, rule suggestions complete successfully.

Change log improvements

Improvements have been made to the System change log and Company change log tables regarding the Processing no. column:
  • the name of the processing is now displayed
  • lookup functionality has been added both from the rows and the search row

SIE import - automatic entries

Automatic entries did not expand automatically during SIE import for accounts with the setting Auto. entry processing = 1 - Expand on voucher lines. The lines had to be expanded manually by running the Expand automatic entries processing. This has been solved.

SIE import - invalid general ledger accounts

If an SIE file contained invalid general ledger accounts (i.e. accounts outside the defined account number series), they were previously imported anyway and added to the General ledger account table. This has now been corrected; general ledger accounts in the file are now validated during SIE import, and the process is aborted if invalid accounts are encountered.

SIE import - locking of batch

Batches created from SIE import were not locked while importing and could be edited by mistake by other user. This has been solved.

Relational operators in calculated column

It was not possible to use combinations of relational operators like "<>" or "!=" in the Formula field for a Calculated column. This has been solved.

New payment means options in Associate processing

Payment information in outgoing invoices by default follows the location of the receiver: Domestic receivers get the company's domestic account, international receivers get IBAN. The old Use IBAN for invoicing check box in the Associate processing field is replaced by a new group of options, named AutoInvoice payment means. Here you choose per customer between Use default for all, Use IBAN for all (which includes IBAN also for domestic receivers), and Use domestic for all (which includes the domestic account also for international receivers). Existing settings are kept: Customers that had Use IBAN for invoicing selected will now show Use IBAN for all. The selection applies to both invoices and interest notes.

VAT reg. no. and VAT registered not aligned when updating from Visma Bizweb

When updating associates from Visma Bizweb, the values for the VAT reg. no. and VAT registered columns are now aligned.

Incorrect values in Stock balance table

A stock transfer order line with the same warehouse in both Warehouse no. and Transf. to warehouse (moving location) counted the transferred quantity twice in Increase and Stock incl. changes for as long as the line was unfinished, making available stock appear to last longer than it actually would in purchase planning. The quantity is now counted once on each side, so the two cancel out correctly.

Missing weight on generated purchase orders

When generating a purchase order directly from a sales order, the weight fields on the purchase order line were left blank if the Purch. unit on the Delivery alternative was defined without weights. The system failed to perform the fall-back and fetch the registered weights from the Product table during this specific processing action, whereas manual order creation handled it correctly. This has been solved.

Change capital asset no. processing available

The Change capital asset no. processing in the Capital asset table is now available for use.

2026-09-14

Restriction of access to managing layouts

You can now hide the Manage layouts menu item for certain access groups. You find this option under General commands for each access group.

2026-09-10

Corrected layout when reprinting order and customer documents

Previously, viewing or reprinting an order document or customer document (such as a reminder or interest note) could display fields in incorrect positions, if the original form was flagged as Not in use. The system replaced it with the company's default form, resulting in a damaged appearance. This has now been solved, and order and customer documents always render exactly as originally produced, even if the form is no longer active for new prints.

Improved preregistration of incoming invoices (Sweden)

You can now combine cost lines in the final registration batch into one voucher line, also when the lines have different VAT codes, by enabling Combine incoming invoice lines under Supplier options. The preliminary booking batch is unchanged, and existing behaviour is kept when Combine incoming invoice lines is disabled.

Entering a supplier number on an empty order row assigned sales order values

When entering a Sup. no. on an empty Order row, the Transaction type was set to 1 - Sales instead of 6 - Purchase. Additionally, the supplier name wasn't shown in the Name column. This has been solved.

Column decimal setting not applied correctly

Setting a column's Fixed number of decimals to 0 in the column settings had no effect. Quantities entered with decimals were still displayed with 2 decimal places instead of being rounded to whole numbers as configured, or falling back to the Number of decimals in qty default from the Company information table. This has been solved.

Assigning primary key values using +

Using the + key for assigning the next value in a primary key column didn't work in tables with a composite key (primary key composed of two or more columns). This has been solved.

2026-09-07

Bank fee for outgoing payments in currency booked twice

Under certain circumstances, the bank fee for outgoing payments could end up being recorded twice. This has been solved.
Note:
Make sure to configure the parameter Duty/Fees included in amount under EFT processing in the Bank partner table correctly, since this setting determines if the bank fee is part of the amount credited to the bank account, or not.

2026-09-04

Unintentional approval step removed

Previously, the employee matched from the invoice reference was added to the approval flow, even without the Voucher approver role, which added an unwanted approval step before the configured flow and could block documents from being sent on flow. This has been solved - the role is now checked before matching, so an employee without the Voucher approver role is neither set as the reference employee nor added to the flow.

2026-09-03

Percent sign not shown in Freight columns

The Freight 1 - 4 columns on orders can have both percentage and amount values, depending of settings in the Freight processing field. The % sign now appears after the value to visualise which values are a percentage.

2026-09-02

Excluding EU goods statistics number when sending invoices

The option Exclude EU goods stat. no. when sending invoice has been added to the Associate processing, making it possible to exclude mapping of product EU goods statistics number when sending an invoice to a customer.

Original due date uploaded to AutoPay when processing payments more than once

If a payment is rejected by an approver in AutoPay, or for some reason cancelled by the bank, it becomes an open entry again. When uploading the payment again, the Original due date is now also included, for clarification when approving the payment in AutoPay.

More information on MDM status for companies

When checking the MDM status under Company management > Existing companies in Business NXT Admin, the validations related to on-premise applications and to Visma.net Financials now include more text explaining the status and which steps may be needed. You can expand the text for reading, and then collapse it again afterwards.

New row not created when entering a value

When you entered or pasted a value in a new row in a table, for example Product no. on an Order line, the row was sometimes not created and the row might appear stuck. This has been solved.

Saving and discarding changes in a layout

Previously, continuing to work in a layout while Save or Discard was still running would sometimes result in an error. This has been solved.
