Setting	Description
One shipment per unit at stock increase	You will have one shipment per item for a product. One shipment for each serial number is generated if there is a goods receipt, production credit note or other stock increases.
One reservation line per unit at stock reduction	You will have one reservation row per serial number for a product. One reservation row for each serial number is generated if there is a finished sales order, further processing, production or other stock reductions. Only reservations for outgoing deliveries with serial numbers will be generated, not for receipts. This will guarantee traceability of serial numbers, because one stock transaction is produced for each reservation.
Reserve serial no. at picking	By default, no reservation of a serial number product takes place when printing the pick list, but it happens during finishing when you actively enter the serial number. With this option the reservation lines are automatically generated during the pick list. You define on the order lines which serial numbers to be picked before printing the pick list.
Calculate "Finish NOW" when entering serial no.	The value in the Finish NOW field in the order line increases when you register the serial number in the Order line, Reservation and Serial no. tables. If you delete the serial number the value in the Finish NOW field is reduced. Note: If you want to add the serial number before finishing the stock increase in the Reservation table, you cannot select this check box.

Setting	Description
Duplicate serial no.	Select this option if you want to prevent the same serial number for an order line in the Serial no. and Reservation tables. In addition, you prevent double registration with bar code scanners. During the stock increase in the Order line and Reservation tables, Business NXT makes a check in the Product transaction table if this serial number has been used before.
Non-existent serial no.	Select this option if you only allow existing serial numbers added in the Order line and Reservation table. Business NXT checks if the registered serial number exists in the Shipment table.
