- Base data
  The tables in this section include base data that applies to products.

  Product information in Business NXT is divided into a number of tables.
  - Product
    The Product table contains one row for each goods or service.
  - Product processings
    The following processings are available from the Product table:

  - Delivery alternative
    This table is used when creating purchase estimates, purchase orders and generating orders.
  - Barcode
    This table contains one row for each barcode, including product number, unit and other fields.
  - Unit
    This table contains one row for each unit. You can enter descriptions of the various units in which you buy and sell products.
  - Product category
    This table contains one row for each product category and can be used to group products hierarchically.
  - Product description
    In the Product description table you can enter an alternative product description per language.
  - Alternative product
    In the Alternative product table, you enter which alternative products can replace a product if the original product is currently sold out or you have too few in stock.
  - Product customer
    This table is used to save the customer's own product number which will be suggested in the Trans. information 2 field on the Order line if you have selected Suggest customer product no. in the Order processing 2 field in the Company information table.
  - Structure
    The Structure table defines which sub products each structure product consists of.
  - Structure processings
    The following processing is available for the Structure table.
  - Search product
    When you search in the Product no. field, the search is made in both number and description fields.
  - Price calculation
    Price calculation is performed during order entry, generating price lists and printing product catalogues. Business NXT will always suggest the most favourable price and/or discount for the customer/supplier.
  - Processing method
    The Processing method menu item in the Processing menu in the Product table has a large number of options that you can use to control how Business NXT processes each product or underlying structure products.
  - VAT- and accounting information
    You divide the products into groups using the VAT and accounting group field in the Product table, while in the Associate table you can refer customers/suppliers to Account set cust./ Account set sup..
  - Import of product data
    Product data can be imported to Business NXT from Visma AutoInvoice as a product catalogue XML file.

Products

Product information in Business NXT is divided into a number of tables.

The Product table contains general information about products, such as grouping information and processing methods. The other tables in this section are all in one way or another linked to Product.
