  Business NXT provides a variety of functionalities to ensure efficient handling of orders.
  - Order
    This table contains one row for each order.
  - Posting orders
    In the Accounting instances field, section Logistics, in the Company information table, you define when batches are to be produced by selecting the Accounting column for the specific process. Direct update determines whether the batch shall be directly updated or not.
  - Order processings
    The following processings are available from the Order table.
  - Order reports
    Several reports are available for the Order table.
  - Partial finishing of orders
    You can finish entire orders or part of orders.
  - Deleting orders
    Orders can remain in place for as long as you want before you finally delete them.
  - Credit note
    If you, for example, want to issue a credit, select Credit note in the Order options field in the order head.
  - Prepayment
    Prepayment is used to prevent an order from being processed further until a payment has been entered in the accounts, or the prepayment setting has been removed.
  - Consignment costs
    The Company information table contains four fields in which you can enter freight components and one for customs.
  - Credit control
    Business NXT performs credit control based on the parameters you have set in the Credit control dialog in the Company information table.
  - Delivery planning
    Delivery time is calculated on the basis of the various time fields imported from delivery alternatives for purchase and production orders, and from stock balances for sales, consumed goods, hire and loan orders.
  - Special taxes
    The authorities have declared that specific special taxes must be calculated for individual products. This may be an environmental tax or a tax on alcoholic beverages.

    This section describes some of the fields that are unique to loan/hire orders.
  - Converting a quotation order to an order/invoice
    This procedure describes how to convert a quotation order to an order/invoice when a customer has accepted the quotation.
  - Weight and dimensions
    Business NXT contains several fields for specifying and calculating weight and dimensions for products and units.
  - Serial numbers
    There are two recommended methods for handling serial numbers in Business NXT. The preferred method is using the Reservation table, which ensures complete inventory control and traceability. Alternatively, the Serial no. table can be used, but it lacks comprehensive stock control.
  - Printing order documents
    The order document - archive window stores the printed and approved order documents, for subsequent printing of copies.

    This table is used when sending email to customers or suppliers that use different email addresses depending on document type.
  - Order note
    Note is a field on both header and line in the XML document that includes text information to the receiver regarding the document or the specific line.
  - Incoming tracking
    This table is used when receiving despatch advice messages from Visma.net AutoInvoice.
  - Order lines
    An order contains order lines with information about each item in the order.
  - Order line addition
    Accounting cost is a string that may contain accounting information given by the customer to the suppliers so that the invoice can be processed and posted automatically when received.
  - Order line note
    Note is a field on both header and line in the XML document that includes text information to the receiver regarding the document or the specific line.
  - Reservation
    This table functions as a link between order lines, pick lists, shipments and transactions. If you want full follow-up on serial numbers, you use this table to update shipments with serial numbers for stock increases and decreases.
  - Reservation processings
    The following processings are available from the Reservation table.
  - Pick list
    This table contains one row for each pick list printed for an order.
  - Pick list processings
    The following processings are available from the Pick list table.
  - Serial no.
    The Serial no. table can be used to define multiple serial numbers for a sales order line, independent of shipments.
  - Order document
    This table contains one row for each archived order document.
  - Order document archive
    The document archive stores the printed and approved order documents, for subsequent printing of copies.
  - Order document processings
    The following processings are available from the Order document table.
  - Order document note
    When printing an outgoing order document, the notes from Order note or Order line note are copied to Order document note or Order document line note.
  - Outgoing tracking
    You can add a tracking ID to the despatch advice document before sending, using the Outgoing tracking table.
  - Order document line
    This table contains one row for each line on an archived order document.
  - Order document line processings
    The following processings are available from the Order document line table.
  - Order document line addition
    When an invoice is printed, the Accounting cost value is copied to the Order document line addition table, from where it is written to the invoice XML.
  - Order document line note
    When printing an outgoing order document, the notes from Order note or Order line note are copied to Order document note or Order document line note.
  - Order document formula
    This table contains one row for each form element on an archived order document.
  - Order document delivery log
    This table contains one row for each delivery of the document.
  - Import document basis
    These tables/functions aren't used in Business NXT.
  - Import basis
    These tables/functions aren't used in Business NXT.
  - Import line basis
    These tables/functions aren't used in Business NXT.
  - Order attachment
    When attachments are added to orders, they are stored in this table.
  - Deleting order attachments
    Attachments that haven’t been printed can be deleted directly in the Order attachment table.
  - Order attachment processings
    The following processings are available from the Order attachment table.
  - Order document attachment
    When order documents are printed and approved, and document copies are used for this document type, rows for each attachment are created in this table.
  - Order document attachment processings
    The following processings are available from the Order document attachment table.
  - Incoming document
    Sales orders, incoming order responses, incoming despatch advices and incoming product catalogues are downloaded from AutoInvoice to the Incoming document table for further processing.
  - Incoming document processings
    The following processings are available from the Incoming document table.
  - Incoming document change
    For each document download, a new post with a unique external document ID is added to the Incoming document change table.
  - Incoming document attachment
    Attachments for the downloaded document, including the XML data and PDF data embedded in it, are added to the Incoming document attachment table as separate rows.
  - EDI transaction log
    These tables/functions aren't used in Business NXT.

Orders

Business NXT provides a variety of functionalities to ensure efficient handling of orders.

The functions support the order flow, whether you’re dealing with sales, purchases, or internal transactions, for example:

Financial adjustments: Issue credits seamlessly, ensuring accurate financial records.
Organisational flexibility: Order entries can be customised by specifying details like special projects or departments using organisational units in the Company information table.
Streamlined processing: Benefit from features like prepayment and consignment costs management, which contribute to a more integrated and efficient system.

You can keep orders in the system as long as necessary before finalising them with deletion, based on selected criteria.

Business NXT also includes specialised functionalities for handling special taxes, loan/hire orders, and the conversion of quotation orders to invoices. With a focus on delivery planning and credit control, the system calculates delivery times efficiently and ensures robust credit management.
