Some tables with essential basic information for the system are common for logistics and accounting purposes. This is where you find and maintain data about companies, associates, currencies, vouchers and much more.

In Business NXT, associates may be customers, suppliers, employees or other persons or organisations that the company is in contact with.

Some tables with essential basic information for the system are common for logistics and accounting purposes. This is where you find and maintain data about companies, associates, currencies, vouchers and much more.
- Company information
  You can add a lot of different kind of information about the company to the Company information table.
- Postal address
  This table contains one row for each postal address.
- Country
  This table contains one row for each country, with options for invoicing, reminders and interest calculation.
- Country-specific validation
- IBAN
  An IBAN account check is performed in bank account fields.
- Language
  This table contains one row for each language.
- Texts
  You can customise texts for local markets or other purposes.
- Currency
  This table contains one row for each currency.
- Currency processings
  The following processings are available from the Currency table.
- Currency rate
  You can add one row for each date exchange rates change in this table.
- Currency rate 2
  You can add one row for each date exchange rates between pairs of currencies change in this table.
- Payment terms
  Payment terms are listed in this table, and you can define corresponding texts in the Text table.
- VAT code
  This table contains one row for each tax code.
- VAT code processings
  The following processings are available from the VAT code table.
- Tax code automatic entry
  You use this table to define how amounts entered on certain VAT codes are to be distributed on multiple VAT codes and VAT numbers.
- VAT rate
  This table contains one row for each VAT, with rates and accounts.
- Inv. tax
  This table contains one row for each investment tax, with rates and accounts.
- Voucher series
  This table contains one row for each voucher series.
- Unused/reserved number
  In this table, intervals of unused and reserved numbers per voucher series are collected.
- Account no. series
  This table is used to define the account type for intervals of account numbers.
- Company VAT register
  This table contains company VAT information per country when sending invoices, product catalogues, order response and despatch advice through Visma.net AutoInvoice.
- Memo
  This table contains one row for each memo.
- Associates
  In Business NXT, associates may be customers, suppliers, employees or other persons or organisations that the company is in contact with.
  - Creating associates
    You create new associates under Company information/All associates.
  - Deleting associates
    You can't delete customers or suppliers with updated transactions. If you attempt to do so, an error message will be displayed.
  - Associate
    The Associate table contains one row for each customer, supplier, employee or other person/organisation the company is in contact with.

    The following reports are available for associates.
  - Delivery address
    You can enter delivery addresses for associates in this table, one on each row.
  - Bank account
    You can enter bank accounts for associates in this table, one on each row.
  - Proxy
    You can enter persons authorised to manage a bank account in this table, one on each row.
  - Associate reference
    You can enter additional relationships for associates in this table, for example when the same contact person is used for several associates.
  - Associate information
    You can enter additional information about associates in this table.
  - Holiday
    Holidays are entered in this table, to be further defined in the Extent field.
  - Associate social media
    You can enter additional information related to associates' social media in this table.
  - Associate role
    You can assign associates the Voucher approver or Order approver role in this table.

  In order to achieve better overall profitability and gain a clear picture of which business areas create profit or loss for a company, it's often useful to divide the company into organisational units.

Associates

In Business NXT, associates may be customers, suppliers, employees or other persons or organisations that the company is in contact with.

Customers, suppliers and employees are assigned unique numbers in the Cust. no., Sup. no. and Empl. no. fields, respectively. An associate may have more than one of these fields filled in.

An associate may be defined as a contact person for another, using the Contact for field.
