On account invoice

An on account invoice plan usually contains on account, fixed price, additional expenses and settlement components.

For better readability it's recommended to use groupings and break lines on the order lines. Fixed price and additional expenses lines can be used for an on account invoice plan to invoice additional amounts directly. These will not be included in settlements. The price can be calculated as a share of the Contract amount. If you have specified a share in an invoice plan line, the amount is calculated during invoicing.

1 - On account/settlement in the Inv. according to plan field allows the following Plan type options in the Order line table:

  • 1 - On account: Order lines are invoiced as soon as the transaction date is equal to or less than the invoice date. When invoicing order lines with plan type 1, Business NXT assigns these the value 5 - Invoiced on account. The order line is processed upon settlement.
  • 2 - Fixed price: Order lines are invoiced as soon as the transaction date is equal to or less than the invoice date. After invoicing, the order line changes to plan type 6 - Invoiced fixed price and the order line is completed.
  • 3 - Additional expenses: Order lines are invoiced when the transaction date is equal to or less than the invoice date. After invoicing, the order line changes to plan type 7 - Invoiced additional expenses and the order line is completed.
  • 4 - Settlement: Order lines without a plan type and ready for invoicing are invoiced as soon as the transaction date is equal to or less than the invoice date. After invoicing, all order lines with plan type 5 - Invoiced on account are deducted. Order lines with plan type 4 - Settlement are changed to plan type 8 - Invoiced settlement and order lines with plan type 5 - Invoiced on account are changed to 9 - Settled on account.
