PEPPOL-EN16931 - PEPPOL BIS rules common to all markets

These are common rules for PEPPOL BIS 3.0, used in all countries where the format is used.

Note that the included rules are those considered relevant when sending from Business NXT. For a complete list of PEPPOL BIS 3.0 Billing rules (including country specific) go here
PEPPOL-EN16931-CL005 - Country code MUST be according to ISO 3166 Alpha-2
The ISO code used is not valid. Update the ISO field in the Country table with the correct value according to the ISO 3166-1:Alpha2 Country code list.
PEPPOL-EN16931-CL007 - Currency code must be according to ISO 4217:2005
The ISO code used is not valid. Update the ISO field in the Currency table with the correct value according to the ISO 4217 Currency codes list.
PEPPOL-EN16931-CL008 - Electronic address identifier scheme must be from the codelist "Electronic Address Identifier Scheme"
This errror will occur if AutoInvoice endpoint scheme has an incorrect value or if it has not been set while there is a value in AutoInvoice endpoint ID.
PEPPOL-EN16931-F001 - A date MUST be formatted YYYY-MM-DD
This error occurs if a mandatory date is missing. Note that Business NXT converts dates into the correct format when sending, if the source is a date field.
PEPPOL-EN16931-R002 - No more than one note is allowed on document level
This error should not occur, as although the Note field may be sourced from multiple fields, these are always combined into a single Note.
PEPPOL-EN16931-R003 - A buyer reference or purchase order reference MUST be provided
There must always be a value in one of the Order table fields Your ref. or Cust/Suppl. order no.. Note that to make sure that this error does not occur, Business NXT will always add "N/A" into the BuyerReference field if it is found to be empty.
PEPPOL-EN16931-R005 - VAT accounting currency code MUST be different from invoice currency code when provided
This error should not occur, as Business NXT only includes the TaxCurrencyCode (Company information > Currency no.) value if it is different from the DocumentCurrencyCode (Order > Currency no.).
PEPPOL-EN16931-R008 - Document MUST not contain empty elements
Although Business NXT removes any XML tag that is not in use, there may be content tags that are not expected to be empty, for example supplier or customer name. This error will be displayed when such a situation occurs.
PEPPOL-EN16931-R009 - Document MUST not contain empty elements
Same as the above, but for higher level tags.
PEPPOL-EN16931-R010 - Buyer electronic address MUST be provided
Electronic address is always included as default, using the invoice customers company no. Meaning that the error will only occur when sending electronic invoices using an invoice customer that does not have a Company no.
PEPPOL-EN16931-R020 - Seller electronic address MUST be provided
Electronic address is always included as default, using the Company information Company no. Meaning that the error will only occur when sending electronic invoices and Company no has not been set in Company information.
PEPPOL-EN16931-R051 - All currencyID attributes must have the same value as the invoice currency code (BT-5), except for the invoice total VAT amount in accounting currency (BT-111)
This error should not occur, as Business NXT displays all amounts in the invoice currency. The exception of when the invoice currency is different from the supplier company currency, in which case TaxAmount is displayed in the supplier's currency in addition to the invoice currency.
PEPPOL-EN16931-R053 - Only one tax total with tax subtotals MUST be provided
This error should not occur, because when the invoice currency is the same as the supplier's currency, there must be only one TaxTotal section in the invoice.
PEPPOL-EN16931-R054 - Only one tax total without tax subtotals MUST be provided when tax currency code is provided
As with R051, this error should not occur, but if it does, it is because the TaxTotal in the supplier's currency includes more fields than is expected (i.e. it includes TaxSubTotal).
PEPPOL-EN16931-R080 - Only one project reference is allowed on document level
While it should not be possible to add the field more than once, if it has been done, the invoice will fail with this error.
PEPPOL-EN16931-R120 - Invoice line net amount MUST equal (Invoiced quantity * (Item net price/item price base quantity) + Sum of invoice line charge amount - sum of invoice line allowance amount
This error occurs if there is a problem with the LineExtensionAmount, using the calculation referenced in the error message. To avoid any such issues, Business NXT recalculates the item price to make sure the calculation passes validation. This means that the price may contain decimals that are not present on the order line in Business NXT.
