Location

You can use locations to store and manage the stock at a more detailed level than on warehouse level. The Location table contains one row for each location, per warehouse.

If you also want to control the stock on individual product level, you can combine the Location table with the Item location table.

The Location table gives a more detailed description of where you have placed the products. Here you can set up how the physical warehouse is constructed. In the Location table you enter the measurements for the location and rules for how the location will be managed.

If you want locations to be pre-defined, select Use location control and Check location values against locations in the Reservation processing field in the Company information table.

Stock count

You can add rows to the Location table using the Transfer to stock count processing in the Stock balance table.

If the Stock take based on locations setting is enabled in the Reservation processing field in the Company information table, you can't use the Correct stock balances processing in the Stock balance table. Posts are created in the Item location table after Transfer to stock count, and the Correct stock balances processing needs to be performed in this table instead.
