Pick list
The pick list routine prints a pick list for all order lines which can be delivered, based on the quantity available in stock.
Picking can be done against goods in stock. Reservations made against inflow products won't be printed on the pick list, but are shown in the Balance to pick field on the order line.
The pick list includes all selected order lines that can be delivered, based on the stock availability and other selection criteria. In the pick list, the order lines are split up into the number of shipments from which goods are picked, with information from the Shipment and Reservation tables, and for each order, a new row is generated in the Pick list table.
Orders for the same product with the same lead time are prioritised in the order in which they appear in the window.
When you print a pick list, the goods in the warehouse are reserved, and no longer available to others. The Pick list, Reservation, Stock balance and Shipment tables are updated.

Pick reserved quantity to date
Only order lines for which the Required delivery date is earlier than the date in the dialog, Reserved is greater than 0, and Picked is less than Reserved plus realised are picked, in addition to any selection criteria defined in the order line. Business NXT will then pick Reserved plus realised minus Picked in order lines. Selections, highlighting and sorting of rows on the Orders tab as well as text lines will be reflected on the pick list.
Pick only reserved quantity
Only order lines where Reserved is greater than 0, and Picked is less than Reserved will be picked.
Combine reservations per order line
One line per order line is displayed in the pick list. Information from the Reservation table showing how much is to be picked from the various shipments will not be displayed.
Sort printout on warehouse and placement
The pick list will sort by the Warehouse no. and Location fields.Location information comes from the shipments from which items are picked.
Sequence
The order in which the products are picked.
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| FIFO |
The products are picked from the warehouse according to FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory method. Note:
The sorting sequence is the basis of the FIFO
order, and this field is used for sorting when picking. The shipment
number is not the order in which the goods came in, as a receipt can be
split into several shipments due to splitting of shipments from partial
invoice receipts, or that are separated in another way to keep control
of cost prices etc. |
| Ascending "Use by date" | The products are picked from the warehouse according to the lowest expiry date first expired, first out (FEFO). |
| Descending "Use by date" | The products are picked from the warehouse according to the highest expiry date. |
Maximum value in pick list
When you print several orders, the values for these will add up. Only orders where the sum is less than the specified value will be printed. Other orders will not be sent to picking.
You can define a maximum value in following fields:
- Maximum quantity in base unit
- Maximum gross weight
- Maximum length
- Maximum area
- Maximum volume
Tip: It can be useful to sort the orders by Delivery priority (suggested by the customer), etc. in advance. This sorting can be saved in the layout.
