Truncation, rounding and usage of VAT report macros

To meet different requirements from tax authorities in different countries how the sums in the VAT report must be expressed, you can use the VAT report options in the Form processing field in the Form table:

  • Truncate: default value, used in Norway and Sweden
  • Rounding: used in Denmark

See also: Form processing

For countries where decimals are needed on the VAT report (Finland), the option Do not truncate/round decimals on VAT report in the Element processing field in the Form element table has to be selected for each row.

VAT sum macro

The @SumEUVATWithSumCostAmount() macro for the VAT report sums outgoing VAT for VAT no.:s related to:

  • EU VAT
  • Reversed domestic VAT

This macro should be used instead of the macro formulas @EUVAT () + @CostAmount () and @ReverseChargePurchVAT () + @CostAmount (), possibly used in forms migrated from Visma Business.

Migrated forms

For forms migrated from Visma Business, some macros may need to be updated according to the examples below:

  • Previously, if a single field for output VAT in the VAT report was calculated based on VAT no:s 51 and 61, it was expressed in the Form element table as =@PaidVAT (52) + @PaidVAT (62). To get the amount in this field correctly truncated or rounded it has to be calculated with the following macro instead (note the absence of equal sign (=) at the beginning): @TotalPaidVAT (52, 62)
  • Previously, if a single field for EU VAT in the VAT report was calculated based on VAT no:s 202 and 212, it was expressed in the Form element table as =@EUVAT (202) + @EUVAT (212) + @CostAmount (202) + @CostAmount (212). To get the amount in this field correctly truncated or rounded it has to be calculated with the following macro instead (note the absence of equal sign (=) at the beginning): @SumEUVATWithSumCostAmount (202,212)
  • Previously, if the field for the Total VAT to pay was calculated with the following macros: =@PaidVAT (52) + @PaidVAT (62) + @TotalEUVAT () + @SumCostAmount () , replace the formula with the following (note the equal sign (=) and the use of brackets): =(@TotalPaidVAT (52, 62) + @SumEUVATWithSumCostAmount (202,212))
