Release 2026, October

The following enhancements and improvements to existing functionality have been released this month.

2026-10-19

User-customised layouts and dynamic context menu

To simplify everyday customisation, and reducing unnecessary duplication of layouts, user-customisation of layouts is now available:

  • You can now make changes in a layout, for example resizing, moving, hiding/unhiding columns without having to open Design mode or save the layout changes. The changes are kept also after signing out and in again.
  • As soon as you make a change in a layout, Your layout changes turns on and stays on. These changes are your own, visible in all companies where the layout is used. You can revert to the original layout, or continue using your own version. The the status is displayed when you right-click.
  • Additionally, to keep common actions available right away, the right-click menu is now more intuitive and contains dynamic content, which means that you will see different options when right-clicking the main table, a joined table, a cell, inside a secondary tab, or on column headers.

Price after discount on order lines

When you overrode Price after discount on a sales order line, the value was reset to the calculated price as soon as you pressed Enter. This has been solved. The entered price is now kept, and Disc. amount 6 is adjusted so the line's discount matches it.

Macro parameters in Formula editor for Swedish VAT report

Previously, the Formula editor in the Form element table didn't display input fields for parameters when configuring summary macros for the Swedish VAT report, including @SumEUVATWithSumCostAmount, @PurchOfGoodsAbroad, @TotalPaidVAT, and @TotalReceivedVAT. This prevented users from defining or amending macro parameters directly within the user interface, requiring formulas to be edited in an external text editor and manually pasted into the Text/parameters field. This has now been solved, and all required macro parameters can be entered and modified directly in the Formula editor.

Confirmed delivery date entered on allocated purchase order line

When the setting Do not enter confirmed delivery date when entering data was selected in the Calculate delivery date field in the Company information table, none of the dates (Confirmed delivery date or Arrival/departure date) on sales order lines were updated when a confirmed delivery date was entered on an allocated purchase order line. This has been solved.

Accumulated freight on gross orders

On purchase orders marked as gross order, the freight from the product's delivery alternative (for example Freight 1) was added to the Cost price on the order line each time the order was saved. The cost price was correct when the line was entered, but increased by one freight amount per save, so repeated saves made it unusable. This has been solved. The cost price is now calculated from the net price on save, as it is when the line is entered, and stays the same across repeated saves.

Empty elements in documents sent to AutoInvoice

When sending packing slips (despatch advice), purchase orders and product catalogues to AutoInvoice, an empty optional value, such as phone number, e-mail address, post code, postal area or company number, was written to the XML as an empty element. This breaks the Peppol rule that a document must not contain empty elements. This has been solved, so empty values are now left out of the XML.

Corrected voucher balancing for non-sequential rows in Update batch and Validate batch

Previously, when the Control per voucher setting was enabled (under Accounting processing in the Company information table), the Update batch and Validate batch processings assumed that all rows for a given voucher number arrived sequentially. If voucher lines were inserted out of order, the validation logic lost track mid-voucher and threw a false-positive balance error, even if the voucher netted to zero, which forced users to manually reorder the lines. The system now accumulates the running balance per voucher key regardless of the physical row order within the batch, and accurately reports any genuine differences.

Order document lines with status 0 excluded when sending to AutoInvoice

When sending to AutoInvoice, order lines with Order line status 0 would be excluded, even if they had included relevant data. This has been solved.

Faulty price for purchase orders generated from sales orders

When generating purchase/production orders from a sales order with Copy sales order cost price to purchase order price in use, the sales line's cost price was copied into the purchase line's price without being converted, and the line's currency was set to the cost currency.

This could result in a NOK cost price appearing on a EUR purchase order, and the purchase discount and exchange rate could inflate the amount further. The option applies both when ticking in the dialog, or setting in Purchase gen. processing in the Company information table, so a run without the dialog was affected too.

Now, the generated purchase line keeps the order's currency and exchange rate, and its price is the cost price converted into that currency. The cost price copied back to the sales order line now includes its cost currency and exchange rate, and goes to the correct sales order line when several lines are generated together.

Accurate Incurred finished calculation after structure head updates

When a quantity on a structure head changed, whichever of the two quantities the head left empty was set to zero on the structure line and left there. A finish then moved only the surviving share, so Incurred finished came out empty or proportionally short. The posting of costs scales the incurred cost by Total incurred over the total quantity, so it carried correspondingly too little. This has been solved. The structure line now keeps a quantity of both kinds when a quantity on its structure head changes, the head's populated quantity standing in for the one it leaves empty, exactly as already happens when a structure is expanded. This follows through every level of a structure expanded through its substructures. Lines on Fixed quantity regardless of quantity in structure head are untouched, and a head carrying both quantities is untouched. Entering the difference in Incurred finished by hand to bring the incurred cost of a production order back is no longer needed.

Copy from header mapping for mix of debit and credit lines

Previously, the Copy from header mapping function would only apply mappings to debit lines for invoices and credit lines for credit notes. Mappings are now correctly applied to both debit and credit lines, excluding rounding lines.

Empty pick lists no longer saved

When a pick list was printed for an order where nothing could be picked, for example because Pick complete order was set and one of the lines was out of stock, a row with status 7 - Empty pick list was still saved in the Pick list table. With automated tasks that print pick lists frequently, this filled the table with unnecessary rows. Empty pick lists are now deleted, and no row is saved.

SAF-T export

  • The Norwegian SAF-T export is updated to version 1.40 of the format.
  • When exporting Danish SAF-T, the check for missing standard grouping category and grouping code is now skipped. This check is only relevant for the Norwegian SAF-T format.

Processings available in the Associate table

The following processings are now available in the Associate table:

  • Calculate client interest
  • Post interest proposal
  • Delete interest proposal

Prevention of changing order type on processed orders and order lines

Previously, Order type could be changed on orders containing processed order lines and on processed order lines. This updated the order status and changed the way how the order could be managed. This has now been solved: Order lines that aren't processed can be updated, but order lines that are processed and orders containing processed order lines can't.

Calculate tax percent processing is available in the VAT code table

The Calculate tax percent processing in the Reservation table is now available.

Due date check for invoices sent to AutoInvoice

Previously, invoices sent to AutoInvoice were only stopped for a too short due date when the customer was identified as a consumer through the AutoInvoice operator no. field in the Associate table. For customers marked as Private person in the Customer options field, and all business customers, invoices were sent without the check, so the invoice could fail at Maventa, or be delivered by another route.

Now, all invoices sent to AutoInvoice are checked, regardless of customer type and delivery route: If the due date is less than six days after the day the invoice is attempted to be sent, it isn't sent, its AutoInvoice status is set to 3 - Failed transfer, and "Invoice due date is too soon to send to customer" is logged in the EDI error message table. Credit notes aren't checked.

Incorrect sum of debit and credit for some updated batches

When you updated a batch with voucher lines that used accrual accounting (Accrual accounting start year/period and Accrual accounting end year/period, or a Period key), Total debit and Total credit on the updated batch came out higher than on the batch. The generated accrual postings were counted on top of the voucher lines. For example, a single-period accrual on an incoming AutoInvoice document showed the amount excluding VAT three times, plus the VAT. The general ledger transactions were correct.

The totals on the updated batch are now calculated from the voucher lines, the same way as on the batch. This also corrects Sum curr. debit and Sum curr. credit, which could show a currency difference on an updated batch even though its voucher lines were balanced.

Helpful error messages for missing Visma Bizweb updates

When running the Update directly from Visma Bizweb processing in the Associate table, and some rows for different reasons aren't updated, a message including the associate number, the organisational number and the reason is now displayed, instead of Unknown error occurred.

Also, if the organisational number for an associate is registered in another format than in Visma Bizweb, it's kept as it is, and the associate is updated.

Support for transport of DME columns between tables

It's now possible to let DME columns be transported between tables as part of the business logic. This can be useful in cases such as:

  • Transport of a column value between the Voucher and Updated voucher tables when running the Update batch processing
  • Transport of a column value from the Order line/Reservation/Shipment tables to the Product transaction line when finishing an order line

This is set up in the DME administrator, that you access under Data Model Extensions in Business NXT Admin. Under the Stamping tab, in for example the Product transaction table, you can modify a DME column, and select which table and column will be the origin column for this DME column's stamped value.

It's also possible to transport calculated columns, which will have their values frozen. To use calculated columns as a stamping origin, you first need to define a calculated DME column in the origin table in the DME administrator, and then define a calculated column in the calculated column table, with its column set to the DME column.

Processings available in the Product transaction table

The following processings are now available in the Product transaction table:

  • Internal invoicing
  • Post temporary stock value

Recalculation of amount excluding VAT upon VAT code removal

Previously, when a Debit VAT code or Credit VAT code was removed from a Voucher line that was entered amount-inclusive, the Amount excl. VAT field retained its stale VAT-exclusive split instead of recalculating to the full line Amount. This resulted in an artificially low Amount excl. VAT on VAT-free invoices and caused subsequent Accrual accounting processing to generate incorrect period postings. The empty VAT code handling now automatically recalculates amount-exclusive fields for lines entered amount-inclusive, while preserving the entered basis for lines entered amount-exclusive.

2026-10-09

Received invoice processing is available in the Reservation table

The Received invoice processing in the Reservation table is now available, and creates batches and vouchers, but the processing doesn't provide any dialog for the user. Any invoice information such as invoice number needs to be added on the order head prior to the processing.

Improved handling of printouts in landscape orientation

Previously, some forms didn't print correctly in landscape orientation. This has been solved.

2026-10-08

Processing of different document types

When several documents of different types (Payment, Reminder, Receipt or Other) are selected and processed at the same time, each document now creates its own batch.

This makes the behaviour consistent with incoming invoices and credit notes, and prevents several selected documents from being merged into one batch.

Deletion of order documents prevented

In order to protect order documents from accidentally being deleted, delete access has been removed from the following tables:

  • Order document
  • Incoming document
  • Incoming document change
  • Incoming document attachment

Credit note with 100% discount

Using line discount = 100% on a credit note would result in a batch with no vouchers, while an invoice with 100% discount (line or total discount), would result in both sales account and discount account vouchers. This has now been solved, so that the credit note results in credit account and a discount account vouchers.

Order status after printing pick lists for selected order lines

When you printed a pick list, or another order document, for only some of an order's lines, for example by filtering the order lines on a warehouse, the order status was worked out from those lines alone. Pick lists could then show as done with Ready for cleared, even though other lines still had to be picked. This has been solved.

Invoice fee limit checked for amount before total discount

Previously, the invoice fee wouldn't be applied even though the invoice amount was below the limit, if the total amount was above the limit before applying a total discount. This has been solved.

Support for EUDR due diligence statement reference number

The EU Deforestation Regulation requires relevant commodities, such as wood, cocoa, coffee and soya, to be covered by a due diligence statement (DDS) filed in the EU information system, TRACES. Each statement gets a DDS reference number, which the businesses further down the supply chain must receive and keep.

Business NXT now receives, keeps and passes on this reference number.

Automatic entries processing is available

The Automatic entries processing in the General ledger account table is now available.

Incorrect sum when regenerating stock balance

When a purchase order line has Order line status Sent from supplier, the Quantity of the order line is included in the Stock balance column Sent from supplier. When running a regeneration of stock balance, Sent from supplier was read again from purchase orders and accumulated, instead of replacing, causing the value in Stock balance to be incorrect. This has been solved.

Closing of accounting period

In the Acc. period processing dialog in the Accounting period table, you can't change the Closed option status manually. To open or close an accounting period, run the Move suspension date from the Company information table.

Improvements for calculated columns

Some improvements related to calculated columns have been made:

  • You can now sort calculated columns from the column header, and sort and group them in the Sorting dialog.
  • You can now filter calculated columns in the Filter (F9) dialog.

2026-10-06

Issue with batch invoicing and sorting

When batch invoicing, the sorting in the invoicing layout wasn't considered, causing the invoicing to fail, unless the required sorting was already applied on the print layout. This has been solved.

Error in Check for AutoInvoice entry

When running the Check for AutoInvoice entry processing on a selection of consumers and a customer wasn't found, this caused an error that stopped the processing without updating any records. This has been solved.

Missing PDF file in sent email message

f both AutoInvoice and E-mail were set as Document delivery method for invoices, the resulting email message would be delivered without an attached PDF file. This has been solved.

Invalid value in Danish standard company file

In the Danish standard company file (denfirm.txt), the value in the Last voucher no. field has been corrected for the Tilbud voucher series.

2026-10-01

Structure didn't expand until order was saved

Previously, when adding a structure product on an order line, the structure lines didn't expand until saving. Now, the structure lines are expanded when entering a Quantity.

Improved XML bank account mapping for incoming invoices

When a bank account is interpreted from the XML, only the account number is now written to the bank account field. The SWIFT/BIC information is no longer added as text after the account number. This prevents values such as [Swift:...] from being included in the Bank account field.

Filtering calculated columns

You can now filter calculated columns from the search row, using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + F.
