Release 2026, July
The following enhancements and improvements to existing functionality have been released this month.
2026-07-30
Turnover class not fetched from VAT code
The Turnover class defined in the VAT code table is now correctly applied and overrides the default turnover class derived from Transaction type, Trade area, and Service type. This behaviour does not apply to vouchers generated from orders when Overwrite order is enabled in the VAT- and accounting information table.

"Graph" element not movable
When adding a Graph element in Design mode, this element was not movable. The workaround was to resize the element for moving it to the correct position. This has been solved.
Breadcrumbs not collapsing
For the active layout, a navigation breadcrumb appears at the top of the screen (such as "Services > Business NXT > Sales > Sales Order"). This breadcrumb did not collapse properly when the screen width was shrunk, making some layout elements unavailable. This has been solved.
Business NXT hanging when moving between tabs
Updating the value in a field without leaving it and then move between tabs, could cause Business NXT to hang. This has been solved.

Wrong language in reminders and interest notes
Under certain circumstances, printing of reminders and interest notes didn't use the correct language on the header line of the rows. Now, the language specified for the customer is used in both the document header and the header line. If no language is set for the customer, the language specified in the Company information table is used.
New P/L report supporting IFRS 18
In the standard company files (norfirm.txt, swefirm.txt and denfirm.txt) a new P/L and balance sheet definition have been added to meet the requirements from IFRS 18. These requirements are regarding interest invoices that origin from customer / supplier invoices shall be posted in the gross profit part of the P/L-report.

The following improvements have been implemented:
- You can now pin the Open layouts list. It will then be visible on the left side of the screen.
- Hovering over the Open layouts and Keyboard shortcuts menu items in the main menu now automatically displays their contents. The same applies to the Show open layouts link in the footer.

Validation of supplier lines when creating rules
Creating rules on supplier voucher lines is now prevented. If you attempt to run the Create rule processing in the Voucher table on voucher lines that contain a supplier account number, the processing is blocked, and a clear validation message is displayed, consistent with the behaviour of the Propose from rules processing.

Swedish VAT postings on imported EU invoices
Previously, when processing workflow or imported EU invoices with Trans. status set to 1 within the Swedish VAT setup, utilising Cost % in VAT handling could cause incorrect VAT postings. This behaviour resulted in incorrect amounts being directed to the error account during the Update supplier transactions processing, including scenarios where the mapping tool was used. This has been solved.
2026-07-16
Exclusion of organisational unit types
When excluding an organisational unit table, the organisational unit type will now be automatically excluded from Master Data Management. When removing the exclusion, all the data will be imported back, including the organisational unit type.
2026-07-15
Immediate validation of mandatory cost units on vouchers
If a cost unit is marked as mandatory on the general ledger account, a message will now appear directly in the Voucher table if you try to leave it blank.
2026-07-14
Pasting blank values on voucher lines
Under certain circumstances, pasting a copied voucher line could trigger an incorrect warning if the general ledger account blocked empty cost units. This has been solved.
Locking documents in the side panel
A document shown in another browser tab using the side panel can now be locked by selecting Keep this document open in the document browser tab.

Partial subtraction of credit notes when creating payment suggestion
When creating a payment suggestion for the open entries, it's now possible to reduce the amount for the credit note by entering a lower amount in the Part payment column. This is relevant for credit notes with a higher amount than the outstanding amount for the invoices.
Application freezes when using backspace on Mac
When pressing the backspace key on a Mac, Business NXT became unresponsive. This has been solved.

Pick list printing for complete orders with unrealised shipments
When creating a sales order with the order options Reserve on save and Pick complete order, the system wrongly prevented the pick list from being printed if an order line was reserving a shipment that was finished but not yet realised. This has been solved.
2026-07-08
Bank fee amounts included in agio
Previously, bank fees for payments in currency were added to the voucher line for the general ledger account for currency difference (agio). Now, these amounts are posted as separate voucher lines against the predefined general ledger account for the fees and the correct bank account.
Error handling added for SIE dimension import mismatches
Previously, when an alphanumeric value in an SIE file was mapped to a numeric dimension in Business NXT, the system would enter an endless loop within the notifications area without displaying an error. This occurred because format validations were only executed prior to selecting series, dimensions, and accounts, leaving the execution phase unverified. This has been solved, and an error message about unsuccessful processing is displayed in the Notifications field if a format mismatch is detected.
Printout improvements
The following improvements have been implemented for printouts:
- Font names can be specified in the window column for print window, allowing
for example using
Libre Barcode 39as font name on order line barcode columns on pick list forms. - Macros can be entered in print window column names, and they will be resolved during printing.
- It's now possible to set the last day of previous month as date and value date in the Send and Finalise dialogs. This is also supported for scheduled task printouts.

Order match on totals
A new header-level order match functionality is now available, for booking based on invoice, to simplify processing and reduce mismatches. Order match on totals matches incoming supplier invoices to purchase orders based on the total invoice amount rather than individual order lines. It's designed for service invoices that contain only totals or where line-level matching isn't practical.

Received invoice dialog improvements
Previously, the Received invoice dialog was still in development, displaying only an information banner and a raw directUpdate checkbox without the necessary fields for entering invoice details. This prevented efficient processing and validating complete purchase orders directly from the layout.
Now, the dialog has been completed, and you can enter comprehensive invoice details (such as Invoice no., Net amount, and Due date) which are automatically saved as drafts while navigating between orders. Furthermore, strict business logic is now applied to respect the Check incoming invoice no. parameter in the Company information table, validating against the Supplier transaction table to prevent duplicate records.
Document navigation in the side panel
Previously, when multiple documents were added to the same post using the Add new document processing in the Voucher table or the Add attachment processing in the Order table, only the first attached document was displayed in the side panel. It wasn't possible to move to the next file by selecting Next or using the Jump to action to switch between file names. This has now been solved, and multiple documents are displayed correctly in the side panel when added to the same post using the processing Attach documents in the Order or Voucher table.

Matching incoming payments from Visma AutoPay using LLM methods
In order to fetch more relevant payment references and improve the result of matching towards open customer entries, an AI-based method based on Large language models (LLM) is now used for identifying payment references such as invoice numbers or KID codes from the daily updated files with incoming payment information.
Approval flow based on invoice reference
Business NXT now supports matching of the invoice reference on an incoming invoice - a text value that may reference an employee (for example by name, employee number, email address, or phone number) towards the employee register, and add the matched employee as the first approver in the approval flow. Minor formatting differences such as casing, name order, spacing, phone number format are tolerated, but the email domains must match exactly.
The following logic is applied:
- One clear match: The employee is added first, and the rest of the flow (flow groups, superiors, amount limits) continues as usual.
- Multiple matches: No employee is set automatically. A warning is logged in the Status history, and the document may still route via other approval rules.
- The matched employee must be granted the Voucher approval role, and won't be duplicated if already in the flow. Superior approvers are added if the invoice exceeds their attestation limit.
- The matching works for both automatic sending (added first automatically) and manual sending (suggested in the Send dialog).
- You can exclude a specific invoice-referenced employee using the setting Exclude from approval flow in the Company information table.

Improvements of Account set handling when generating purchase orders
When using the setting Firstly get account set from Stock in the Order processing field in the Company information table, the order lines will get Account set from the warehouse defined on the line. Generated purchase orders will inherit the Warehouse no. and Account set from the first order line. If Account set isn't set on the order line, it will be set as blank. The field Warehouse no. sup. in the Associate table isn't in use when purchase orders are generated, only when the purchase orders are created manually.

Missing validation messages during credit control checks
Previously, when creating a sales order with order lines for a customer whose credit limit had been passed, no warning or blocking message was displayed if Credit control in the Company information table was configured with Credit limit on entry set as Warning or Block. The underlying business logic executed correctly, updating the test result and changing the order type to 6 - Unprocessed order when blocked, but the lack of message left users unaware of the credit status breach. This has been solved, and an appropriate warning or blocking message is displayed.
Resolution of incorrect rounding lines on proportional VAT invoices
Previously, when processing incoming invoices and the VAT code applied a partial non-deductible percentage (Cost %), the system generated erroneous rounding lines. This led to incorrect calculations and caused batches to become unbalanced. This has been solved.
Corrected VAT rounding and Swedish setup account posting for supplier transactions
The VAT amount handling for supplier transaction updates and VAT split processing has been improved. The system now correctly calculates VAT amounts when running preliminary booking.
