Stock correction

You can perform corrections of the stock, using a dedicated correction order.

This order type has transaction type 4 - Adjustment/internal issue. This is the appropriate approach if you want to override the FIFO (First In, First Out) order and inventory down the quantity in a specific shipment. Another common use for adjustment orders is when you want to adjust the cost price of a product.

Starting the processing

  1. Open the stock correction layout, and select the Correction order tab.
  2. Create a new order and if needed, add Account set (otherwise the Default account set from the Company information table is used).
  3. In the order lines, enter the product, shipment number and (positive) quantity to be delivered out from stock.
  4. In the order lines, enter the product, adjusted (negative) quantity and adjusted cost price to be delivered into stock.
  5. Finish the order/order lines.

If you want to correct the cost price on a specific shipment and keep the shipment number, you need to create and finish line by line, otherwise a new shipment number is generated for the adjusted order line.

Note:
A cost price addition from the original purchase order is not carried over by a stock correction. The adjusted shipment gets the full cost as cost price, with no cost price addition, and the correction does not reverse or repost the cost price addition that was posted at invoice receipt. If the cost price addition was incorrect, also correct the amount on the cost addition account with a manual voucher.
