- Signing in to Business NXT
  Business NXT is a web based application. You need a username and a password in order to sign in.
- Searching in tables
  When you search in tables, you can search directly for numeric values or text such as product numbers or company names, or look up values in related tables.
- Modifying data
  You can add new data in Business NXT, and change the data that has already been entered.
- Task overview
  The Task overview helps to alert you of recurring tasks that need to be taken care of, for example if there are invoices that are overdue or if stock balances are below a predefined level.
- Automating tasks
  You can automate tasks to be performed at regular intervals.
- Layouts
  In Business NXT, you find many default layouts that fulfil the most common requirements, and you can also add your own layouts, folders and categories.
  - Design mode
    You can quickly adjust layouts in design mode, by using the toggle at the top right. In design mode, you can for example switch between showing and hiding names of tables and forms.
  - The Layout manager
    The Layout manager is used to categorise layouts in a way that suits you. In addition to the default layouts that are included in Business NXT, you can also add your own layouts, folders and categories.
  - Searching for layouts
    When you click the magnifier icon in the tools menu at the top of the screen, you can search among all layouts.
  - Tables
    When you are in design mode, you can add tables to layouts.
  - Side panel
    You can view documents attached to records and open reports from OneStop Reporting in the side panel. The side panel is available across all layouts.
  - Calculated column
    This table contains one row for each calculated column.
  - Folder
    This table contains one row for each folder.
  - Translation
    Translations of folder names, layout names, window names, table names, page element names, tooltips and column names are kept in this table.
  - Window
    This table contains one row for each window layout.
  - Page element
    This table contains one row for each page element layout.

Layouts

In Business NXT, you find many default layouts that fulfil the most common requirements, and you can also add your own layouts, folders and categories.

You can use the default layouts as templates, by making a copy of an existing layout and then adjusting it to your needs.
