Product reports

The following report is available for the Product table:

Price list

You can create price lists by previewing or printing the report from the Product table in a window containing the Price- and discount matrix table.

You can define the sequence of the rows in the printout by sorting the rows in the Price- and discount matrix table.

Printing the price list

  1. Select the Product rows you want to include in the price list.

  2. In the context menu, select Send. The Create and send documents dialog opens.

  3. The default document type Price list is already selected, as well as today's date, but you can make adjustments by clicking on the Type icon.

    Option Description
    Date If you want to, you can select a date that is different from today's date. The date in this field is used to retrieve prices which are within the from and to dates in the Price- and discount matrix.

  4. Click the Form icon to select or change the form you want to use. Please make sure that the selected form is set up with window number -13034 (Price list) in the Print layout no. field.

  5. Click the Settings icon to specify additional information for the price list, if you want to.

    Option Description
    Customer no. If you specify a customer number, Business NXT will retrieve prices from rows in the Price- and discount matrix with that customer number and rows in which no customer number has been filled in.
    Currency no. Fill in this field if you want the prices to be displayed in a specific currency. Otherwise, Business NXT uses the customer's currency or the domestic currency.
    VAT code Enter the VAT rate to use for calculating gross prices.
    Gross Check this box if you want to display prices including VAT.

  6. Select if you want to use the pre-defined delivery method or download the price list as a pdf file.

  7. Now, you can preview your price list, or finish by clicking Send.

The printout can contain several rows for each product number, specified for joint combinations of the following fields:

  • Order number and order price group

  • Warehouse number and shipment number

  • Employee number, employee price group and wage rate number

  • Supplier number

  • Structure product number and included in structure

  • Unit

  • Minimum quantity

  • Minimum amount

  • Quantity in base unit

  • Length

  • Area

  • Volume and net weight

For each combination the most favourable conditions possible will be selected. This means the lowest price minus any appropriate discounts in the same row in the Price- and discount matrix table, and regardless of the highest % discount. However, a more favourable price or discount will not be selected if this is selected in the Fixed prices/discounts field in the Price- and discount matrix table.

Prices and discounts are retrieved for the price and discount columns that are included in the Price- and discount matrix table.

If the printout contains prices/discounts for several transaction types simultaneously, the description will be retrieved in the following sequence:

  1. Sales

  2. Hire

  3. Purchase

This also applies to any tax code that has been overridden. Nevertheless, price calculations will always be made on the basis of the correct tax code.
