Account statement transaction processings

The following processings are available from the Account statement transaction table:

Disable reconciliation

This processing omits bank transactions from reconciliation by setting their Reconciliation rest amount to 0.

Starting the processing

  1. Select the Account statement transaction rows you want to process.
  2. In the Processing menu, select Disable reconciliation.

The Reconciliation rest amount, Reconciliation rest amount in currency and Reconciliation rest amount in EURO fields are set to 0, and the Reconciliation status field is set to 1 - Reconciliation disabled.

Enable reconciliation

This processing includes bank transactions in reconciliation by assigning values to the Reconciliation rest amount fields.

You can achieve a similar result by editing the fields manually.

Starting the processing

  1. Select the Account statement transaction rows you want to process.
  2. In the Processing menu, select Enable reconciliation.

The Reconciliation rest amount and Reconciliation rest amount in currency fields are initialised to their maximum value, retrieved from the Amount and Amount in currency fields, and the Reconciliation status field is set to 2 - Reconciliation enabled

Manual reconciliation

For reconciliation of transactions not processed automatically by the algorithms, you should use the manual reconciliation processing.

Starting the processing

  1. In the General ledger transaction table, select the rows you want to match, and the corresponding rows in the Account statement transaction table. You can select one or several rows in both tables.
  2. In the Processing menu of the General ledger transaction or Account statement transaction table, select Manual reconciliation.

The Reconciliation rest amount fields on the transactions will be adjusted with the matched amount.

Note:
In the Account statement transaction table, columns from the underlying Account statement detail table can be unhidden. Since one Account statement transaction row can have multiple Account statement detail rows, the Account statement transaction will be duplicated in the user interface for transactions with multiple underlying detail lines. When doing manual reconciliation, select only one of these rows.

Create voucher

Some transactions from the bank, like interest and bank fees, are often missing in the accounting, since they aren't sent separately as other transactions. This processing is used to handle these transactions.

If the Reconciliation rest amount and Reconciliation rest amount in currency fields are both empty, the row is skipped. Preferably use a layout where such rows are filtered away.

Starting the processing

  1. Select the Account statement transaction rows you want to process.
  2. In the Processing menu, select Create voucher.
  3. Make settings in the dialog.
    Option Description
    Voucher series
The voucher series to be used when creating the batch/voucher. The cross account for the voucher should be defined for this voucher series, otherwise you have to enter it manually in the journal entry after the processing has finished.
    Note:
You can only select voucher series marked Used in bank reconciliation in the Voucher series processing field.
Direct update The batch is updated directly.

A batch with Origin 47 - Account statement vouchers is created with vouchers for the selected transactions.

On the vouchers, the Bank partner row GL bank account is applied as Debit account if the amount is positive, else as Credit account. The Voucher type row Credit account or Debit account is applied as cross account (when the amount is positive or negative, respectively).

If you select Direct update, and the batch doesn't have any errors, the Update batch processing is executed.
