Master Data Management is a concept in Visma for sharing common data across multiple applications. This guide describes the concept of Master Data Management and how it should be activated for the Visma Business produktlinje.
Master Data is information which is key for running a business. It is shared across multiple systems, applications or processes.
The records for each master data type are stored in a database. One application is usually owner of a master data type and one to many other applications are able to use the information from the master data database in their processes. Master Data is not transactional by nature.
Master Data Management is presented in Visma.net in its own tab. The actual integration of the data between the systems is done by small components and services, which are bundled with the different Visma applications.
