Fetching contact information follows the functionality in the order table, that Contact has a list of buying customer's contacts, while Contact 2 lists the invoice customer contacts. To accommodate this, Contact 2 is first checked for content, and if nothing is set there, Contact is used. The exception to this rule is the email address, which is mapped to the invoice customer email addresses, to be sure that there is an address to deliver to if electronic delivery fails. The reason for this is that there is no dedicated e-mail address for the company in the invoicing format. If no data is found in AutoInvoice e-mail address, Business NXT will look in the E-mail address field. Note that this handling is dependent on the setting (quotation needed) in AutoInvoice processing being not selected. If it selected, only E-mail address is looked for and if it’s empty, no e-mail address is set in the field, even if there is an address in E-mail address on the invoice customer.
