This procedure should be followed if you have not previously installed any Visma Business produktlinje products.

Prosedyre

  1. Start the Visma Business produktlinje installer.
  2. The installer will check if you have all the prerequisites installed and prompt you to install those that are missing.
  3. Select the language for the installer.
  4. Click Next.
  5. Select the action for the products and modules.

  6. Click Next.
  7. Set the configuration parameters for the selected products and modules.
    Configuration parameters that have an asterisk (*) in front of them, must have a value before you can proceed with the installation.

    Visma path The common path where all your Visma applications will be installed. Each application will be installed in subfolders below the common Visma path. You can override the common Visma path by clicking Set install location for each product. If you change the common Visma path, this will not affect the already installed products.
    Merk: It is not possible to use C:\Program Files as common path for the Visma applications (even when choosing to install the 64bit version) because 64 bit operating system might convert it to c:\Program files (x86). Installer is not aware of this and it will lead to incorrect paths in configuration.
    Application language The common default application language for all installed products. It can also be expanded to choose different language for each product.
    Database settings - Server The common database server to be used for all products that uses SQL Server. If you are using instances on Microsoft SQL Server, you need to specify the name of the instance after the server name (e.g. MyServer\MyInstance). If the machine running the SQL Server is not in the same domain, it is possible to install under a custom port using the syntax MyServer,Port.
    Database settings - Log on type The type of log in to be used when authenticating at the database server for all products that use SQL Server.
    Database settings - User name The SQL Server account to be used when authenticating at the database server.
    Database settings - Password The password of the SQL Server account to be used when authenticating at the database server.
    Database settings - Encrypted connection Enable if database has been set up for encrypted connections. Note that database Server name must be set as a fully qualified domain name (FQDN) and match with the server certificate. See Encrypted database connection for more information.
    User accounts for services - Log on as The type of log in to be used for running all Visma services. Select Local System account if you want the Visma services to use the build-in account Local System as the common user to be running as. If you want to specify a user for the services, select This user.
    User accounts for services - User name The Windows account to be used for running all services for all installed products. We recommend using a domain user that is a local administrator on the computer.
    User accounts for services - Password The password for the Windows account to be used for running all services for all installed products.
    User accounts for services - Confirm password Confirm the password for the Windows account to be used for running all services for all installed products.
    Visma Business system database The name of the Visma Business system database. If Create new database is selected, a new database with the selected name will be created. If Use existing database is selected, the existing database with the selected name will be used.
    Visma Business catalog database The name of the Visma catalog database. If Create new database is selected, a new database with the selected name will be created. If Use existing database is selected, the existing database with the selected name will be used.
    Visma Document Center database The name of the Visma Document Center database. If Create new database is selected, a new database with the selected name will be created. If Use existing database is selected, the existing database with the selected name will be used.
    Visma User Directory database The name of the Visma User Directory database. If Create new database is selected, a new database with the selected name will be created. If Use existing database is selected, the existing database with the selected name will be used.
    Integrate with other products Choose if you want top integrate with other products. If you have selected to install a product that is dependent on another product, it is not possible to change this value.
    Visma User Directory Server The server name where the Visma User Directory Single Sign-On service is located
    Visma User Directory single sign-on service port The TCP port that the other Visma applications will use when connecting to Visma User Directory. If the other Visma programs are installed on a different computer than Visma User Directory, it is important that this port is opened in the firewall/router.
    Visma User Directory server port The TCP-port used to expose the Visma User Directory Management Service.
    Visma Document Center Server name The name of the server where the Visma Document Center server service is located
    System user password Specifies the password for the Visma Business System user.
    Confirm system user password Confirm the password for the Visma Business System user.
    Visma User Directory - Administrator password The password for the Visma User Directory administrator (VUDAdmin).
    Visma User Directory - Confirm Administrator password Confirm the password for the Visma User Directory administrator (VUDAdmin).
    Visma Business Services activation If Start is selected, Visma Business Services will start automatically.
    Visma Business Message Queue activation If Start is selected, Visma Business Host for OD MessageQueue will start automatically.
    Visma Business Scheduler activation If Start is selected, Visma Business Scheduler service will start automatically.
    Visma Business SyncEngine Service activation If Start is selected, Visma Business Services Host for SyncEngine will start automatically.
    Visma Business Services max pool size The maximum number of Visma Business instances (Vbus.exe) Visma Business Services can start. Visma Business Services adds instances as needed, until this limit has been reached. By setting this limit, you restrict the resources Visma Business will use on the server. The maximum number of Visma Business instances may also be limited by your Visma Business license.
    Visma Business Services port number The common TCP-port to be used for exposing the WCF services hosted by Visma Business Services.
    Visma Document Center Server port number The TCP port the Visma Document Center client will use when connecting to the Visma Document Center server. If the Visma Document Center client is installed on another computer, it is important that this port is opened in the firewall/router.
    Visma Document Center Server Autoinvoice port number The TCP port that the Visma Document Center client will use when connecting to the Visma Document Center Server Autoinvoice. If the Visma Document Center client is installed on another computer, it is important that this port is opened in the firewall/router.
    Visma Document Center Server Autoimport port number The TCP port that the Visma Document Center client will use when connecting to the Visma Document Center Server Autoimport. If the Visma Document Center client is installed on another computer, it is important that this port is opened in the firewall/router.
    Visma Document Center Server DocumentCount port number The TCP port that the Visma Document Center client will use when connecting to the Visma Document Center Server DocumentCount. If the Visma Document Center client is installed on another computer, it is important that this port is opened in the firewall/router.
    Visma Document Center Server ODBridgeService port number The TCP port that the Visma Document Center client will use when connecting to the Visma Document Center Server ODBridgeService. If the Visma Document Center client is installed on another computer, it is important that this port is opened in the firewall/router.
    Visma User Directory Server port number The TCP port that the Visma User Directory Client will use when connecting to the Visma User Directory Server. If the Visma User Directory Client is installed on a different computer than Visma User Directory Server, it is important that this post is opened in the firewall/router.
    Visma User Directory single sign-on service port The TCP port that the other Visma applications will use when connecting to Visma User Directory. If the other Visma programs are installed on a different computer than Visma User Directory, it is important that this port is opened in the firewall/router.
    Visma Document Center auto import folder The path that Visma Document Center will use for the automatic import of documents.
    Use 64-bit versions Will install 64-bit versions of Visma Business and Visma Document Center if set to "Yes".
    You can click Export... to export the configuration parameters to an XML file. This file can later be reused by clicking Import....
  8. Click Install.
  9. Click Next.
  10. On the status page you can see the status of the products and modules. If the installation failed you can read the log files. Click Export details to create a text file with a summary of the installation configuration.
  11. Click Next to go further.
  12. If you want to install Visma Payment (BabelBank) and/or Visma Avstemming, click on the specific link to download the latest installation files. The installation itself is done separately.
  13. Click Next to go further.
  14. Select if you want to start the Settings and integration wizard.
  15. Select if you want to start the Export to Visma User Directory wizard.
  16. Click Close.
  17. It is important that the following ports are opened in the firewall/router in order to allow connection by remote desktop and web clients.

    Visma Business Services Needs to run with administrator privileges since only the admin may open network ports and listen to incoming connections.
    Visma User Directory server Needs to run with administrator privileges since only the admin may open network ports and listen to incoming connections.
    Visma Business Host for OD MessageQueue Needs to run with administrator privileges in order to be able to read from the Microsoft Message Queuing (MSMQ).
    Visma Business.exe Can run with normal user priviliges.Visma Business does not require file permissions to a specific file location. For example, the path of invoice copies is configurable.
    Visma Business Services Host for SyncEngine Can run with normal user priviliges.
    Visma Business Scheduler service Can run with normal user priviliges.
