Installation parameters

This topic lists all parameters in the installer.

Common.ProgramFolder The common path where all your Visma applications will be installed. Each application will be installed in subfolders below the common Visma path. You can override the common Visma path by clicking Set install location for each product. Common. ServiceAccount.LogOnType The type of log in to be used for running all Visma services. Select Local System account if you want the Visma services to use the build-in account Local System as the common user to be running as. If you want to specify a user for the services, select This user. If "thisuser" is selected, the Common.ServiceAccount.Name will be automatically set from the currently logged in Windows user.
Merk: If Visma Document Center is part of the installation then it is not recommended to select Local System account because this account might not be able to create the database for Visma Document Center when the service is started.
Merk: If Visma User Directory is part of the installation then it is recommended to select "Other user" then input NETWORK SERVICE and press the Check Names button on the right to validate it

Common.ServiceAccount. Name The Windows account to be used for running all services for all installed products. We recommend using a domain user that is a local administrator on the computer.
Merk: When using Visma Business in combination with Visma Document Center then you need to use the same user for the Visma Document Center service and Visma Business Services.

Common.ServiceAccount. PerProduct Sets if the common service account parameters should be used for all products to be installed. true true, false
Common.Database.Server The common database server to be used for all products that uses SQL Server. If you are using instances on Microsoft SQL Server, you need to specify the name of the instance after the server name (e.g. MyServer\MyInstance). If the machine running the SQL Server is not in the same domain, it is possible to install under a custom port using the syntax MyServer,Port.    
Common.Database. InstanceName The instance name to use when installing a new instance of the included SQL Server Express. When SQL Express is not installed, this parameter is not used.    
Common.Database. LogOnType The type of log in to be used when authenticating at the database server for all products that use SQL Server. windows windows, sql
Common.Database. AuthenticationMode The authentication mode to use when installing a new instance of the included SQL Server Express. When SQL Express is not installed, this parameter is not used. You can choose between Windows Integrated logon only or Mixed Mode authentication. windows windows, sql
Common.Database. SqlUserName The SQL Server account to be used when authenticating at the database server. If Common.Database.LogOnType is set to Windows, this parameter is not used.    
Common.Database. SqlPassword The password of the SQL Server account to be used when authenticating at the database server. If Common.Database.LogOnType is set to Windows, this parameter is not used.    
Common.Database. PerProduct Sets if the common database connection parameters should be used for all products that use SQL Server.    
Common.Database. SaPassword The password for the "sa" user on the new SQL Server Express instance.    
Common.Database.EncryptedConnection Enable if database has been set up for encrypted connections. Note that database Server name must be set as a fully qualified domain name (FQDN) and match with the server certificate. See Encrypted database connection for more information.    
Common.Database. ConfirmSaPassword Confirm the password for the "sa" user on the new SQL Server Express instance.    
Common.Integration. SingleSignOnService Address Specifies the address of the Visma User Directory Single Sign-On Service to be used for configuring all installed products that needs to connect to the Single Sign-On Service.    
Common.Integration. ManagementService Address Specifies the address of the Visma User Directory Management Service to be used for configuring all installed products that needs to connect to the Management Service.    
Common.Integration. AdminPassword Specifies the password of the "vudadmin" user in order to log on to Visma User Directory for performing configuration tasks during setup.    
Common.Integration.SystemUserPassword Specifies the password for the Visma Business System user.    
Common.Integration.ConfirmSystemUserPassword Confirm the password for the Visma Business System user.    
VismaBusiness. OldVersionProductCode For internal use.    
VismaBusiness. ProgramFolder The installation folder to install Visma Business .    
VismaBusiness. InternationalFolder The folder to use for loading country specific files. If not specified, the value will be the same as the VismaBusiness.ProgramFolder parameter.    
VismaBusiness. ApplicationLanguage The default application language in the user interface of the Visma Business application. en-gb en-gb, nb-no, sv-se, fi-fi, da-dk, de-de, pl-pl, lv-lv, lt-lt, et-ee, en-us
VismaBusiness. PluginsFolder The file path to use for finding the main plug-in configuration file in Visma Business. If not set it will be set to VismaBusiness.ProgramFolder + the default value. Plugins\Plugins.xml  
VismaBusiness. InstanceName The instance name of Visma Business. Different values can be used in order to create separate instances of Visma Business on the same machine. Current Version  
VismaBusiness.Database. Server The address or machine name of the database server that Visma Business should connect to. If you are using instances on Microsoft SQL Server, you need to specify the name of the instance after the server name (e.g. MyServer\MyInstance). If you have selected to install SQL Express this value is calculated from the current machine name and the specified SQL Server instance name.The address or machine name of the database server that Visma Business should connect to. If the Common.Database.PerProduct parameter is set to "true", this parameter will get the same value as the Common.Database.Server parameter.    
VismaBusiness.Database. LogOnType The type of log on to be used for connecting Visma Business to SQL Server. If "sql" is selected, the VismaBusiness.Database.SqlUserName and VismaBusiness.Database.SqlPassword parameters will be used. If "windows" is used, the currently logged on Windows account will be used to log on to the database. If the Common.Database.PerProduct parameter is set to "true", this parameter will get the same value as the Common.Database.LogOnType parameter. windows windows, sql
VismaBusiness.Database. SqlUserName If VismaBusiness.Database.LogOnType parameter is set to "sql", then this parameter specifies the SQL Server account to use when connecting to the database. If VismaBusiness.Database.LogOnType is set to Windows, this parameter is not used.  If the Common.Database.PerProduct parameter is set to "true", this parameter will get the same value as the Common.Database.SqlUserName parameter.    
VismaBusiness.Database. SqlPassword If VismaBusiness.Database.LogOnType parameter is set to "sql", then this parameter specifies the password of the SQL Server account to use when connecting to the database. If VismaBusiness.Database.LogOnType is set to Windows, this parameter is not used.  If the Common.Database.PerProduct parameter is set to "true", this parameter will get the same value as the Common.Database.SqlPassword parameter.    
VismaBusiness.Database. DatabaseSystem The database system to use for Visma Business. If you have selected to install SQL Express this parameter is not available. SQL_SERVER SQL_SERVER
VismaBusiness.Database. CatalogDatabaseName The name of the Catalog database.If Create new database is selected, a new database with the selected name will be created. If Use existing database is selected, a new catalog database with the selected name will be created. Catalog

VismaDocumentCenter.Database.DatabaseName The name of the Visma Document Center system database. If Create new database is selected, a new database with the selected name will be created. If Use existing database is selected, a new Visma Document Center database with the selected name will be created.    
VismaUserDirectory.Database.DatabaseName The name of the Visma User Directory system database. If Create new database is selected, a new database with the selected name will be created. If Use existing database is selected, a new Visma User Directory database with the selected name will be created.    
VismaBusiness. VismaBusinessServices. OldVersionProductCode For internal use.    
VismaBusiness. VismaBusinessServices. ActivationState If Start is selected, Visma Business Services will start automatically. true true, false
VismaBusiness. VismaBusinessServices. InitialPoolSize The initial pool size for the Visma Business Services. This represents the number of Visma Business worker instances that will be started initially when the Visma Business Services is started. 1  
VismaBusiness. VismaBusinessServices. MaxPoolSize The maximum number of Visma Business instances (Vbus.exe) Visma Business Services can start. Visma Business Services adds instances as needed, until this limit has been reached. By setting this limit, you restrict the resources Visma Business will use on the server. The maximum number of Visma Business instances may also be limited by your Visma Business license. 5

VismaUserDirectory. Repository.PortNumber The TCP port that Visma User Directory will use when connecting the repository (the user database). If the repository is installed on another computer, it is important that this port is opened in the firewall/router. 50000
