Visma.net single sign-on guide

The Visma Business produktlinje is consists of on premise, locally installed applications and cloud services. The best user experience is achieved once all applications are fully integrated with each other. The Visma User Directory is connecting all locally installed applications. Selecting the Visma Single Sign-on option in the login dialog of any Visma User Directory application enables the user to work with all on premise applications without re-entering the password when starting them. Besides that it is now also possible to connect existing data in the Visma User Directory with the corresponding data in Visma.net. New data (like new users, companies, etc) will be created in one place - Visma User Directory/Visma Business and automatically synchronized with Visma.net. That simplifies the administration of the Visma Business produktlinje and enables new possibilities like single sign-on.

Embedded layouts

The design mode in Visma Business allows to customize the layouts users are working with. It is now possible to include Visma.net pages into a layout in Visma Business by adding a web page element into the layout, referring to the corresponding Visma.net URL. If the user does have access to the web page of the Visma.net services which is embedded into the layout. then it is not required to type in the Visma.net credentials when opening the layout.

Web addresses for embedded layouts

The above URLs are used log in the current user and will be routed to a new address after successful authentication. If the rerouted address is used when opening the layout, the login will fail and content will not be displayed correctly. This means that to make the embedded layout work, you will have to open the Vinduselement table, find the row that contains the correct web page element (tip: select 8 - Web-side in Sideel.type) and replace the Web-adresse/filnavn content with one of the URLs listed above.
