Editing payment forms

This sections describes the concept of editing payment forms.

Om denne oppgaven

Payment forms are form type 5 - Payment giro. This form type use information relating to suppliers and open entries, as well as the general macro functions. These are inserted as element type text, either on their own or combined with text that you enter. You can select the macro functions directly from a help screen displayed by typing * or double-clicking in the field. The macros that are not described here are discussed in the general sections covering form editing.

The form also enables you to refer to an underlying print setup in which the columns for transactions to be included are defined, which means that the print window can contain different fields to those displayed on screen. This also ensures that the printout will look the same each time, regardless of whether the columns are hidden or not. One special feature of giro forms is that in the layout for the selected Windows printer you must define a page that corresponds to the height of the form. You do this in Printers in Windows. You select a user-defined page size, or one that fits. To see the correct page size during graphical editing, in page setup you must select the correct printer with the correct page layout.

Visma Business performs continuous syntax checking, changing the colour of the macro functions from black to blue when Visma Business recognises them and all parameters entered are correct. A text can be spread over several lines, with automatic line breaks in relation to the element length.

If necessary, Visma Business divides lines on spaces, hyphens or the special word separation character ^. A new line can be forced with the character |.

Visma Business does not use any page version for payment giros if giro amounts are required for the entries printed on every page. We recommend that you use page version 5, which shows the total giro amount in the same way as an invoice extending over several pages. The @GiroAmount macro can therefore be used either to print the total on the last page by selecting a page version of 5, or an amount per page by leaving the page version blank. We recommend using page version 5, as a single page may have a negative amount. If a page does have a negative amount, the amount is not printed for that page.

If you use page version 3 for the @GiroAmount macro, you will be able to see giros that will be negative. This requires a more thorough review of the giros before dispatch.

Macro Functions

@Supplier (field name)/Remittent (field name)
These macros retrieve information from the Associates table. If any suppliers use a factoring company, for example, payment is made to the factoring company and not the supplier of the goods. You should print pre-completed giro forms in connection with payments instead of to the supplier. In the case of suppliers with empty remittent fields, Visma Business prints the information for the supplier instead. If you wish, you can edit the payment form to include both the supplier and the remittent. You must specify which field name/column heading you want to retrieve data from. If you cannot remember the field name, open the Associates window and check.
Merk: The reference must be to the original texts. If you have change the headers/column headings, use the Texts command in the Options menu to see the original name of the field.
Example: The supplier number, name and address are required from the Associates table. To do this, use the macros @Supplier (supp. no.), @Supplier (name), @Supplier (address 1), @Supplier (post code) and @Supplier (postal area).
@Date
This macro prints the up-to-date from date defined in the print dialog box.
@GiroAmount (no. mm before decimals)
The giro amount is generated by adding up the amount in the domestic currency of all totals lines. The parameter indicates the number of millimetres between the integer and the decimals. If the parameter = 0 or is omitted, Visma Business prints a standard decimal separator.
@OurBankAccount()
This macro prints out our bank account number from the Currencies table, or the Bedriftsopplysninger table if not defined, to the entries on the giro.
@SupBankAccount ()
This macro prints the supplier's bank account number for the entries on the giro.
