Creating new company

Creating a new company when you do not have an integration to Visma User Directory.

1. Create a database.
   Depending on the database and database user, we recommend that databases be created in the database tool rather than from Visma Business, in order to control size, file locations and backup routines. For MSDE, there are tools such as OSQL.EXE and Visma's own SQL Tool, which are installed on the server together with Visma Business, but these require a high level of SQL competence. It is therefore easier to create the database from Visma Business.
2. Enter new row in the Bedrift table.
3. Click Save.
   The program adds a company database for each new row. The databases are given the name F (for Firm) followed by a four-digit company number with preceding zeros, e.g. F0001 for company number 1.
4. The program asks you in a dialog box whether you want to import default company data and postal addresses.
5. For users to have access to the company, you must add rows for it in the Bedriftsgruppe-medlem table.
