You can import data from Excel to Visma Business. Importing data from Excel can for example be relevant if you need to import
data:
- to an empty Visma Business database
- to maintain data in Visma Business

Find SQL names for use in the Excel file
The Excel file must have column headings that are equivalent to the SQL names
of the corresponding columns in Visma Business.

Select the table to which you will import data.

Retrieve the columns in the table that corresponds to the columns in
the Excel file in which you want to import.

Move the columns in the same order as in the Excel file.

Change the column names from "User defined" to "SQL" in the
table.

Prepare the Excel file.

Open the Excel file that you want to import from.

Type the SQL names in the first row.

Save the Excel file in a CSV format.

Import the Excel file.

On the Home menu and click
Import.
The Import dialog box appears.

Select the appropriate database in the To
database box.

Select how you would like to import the data

Select the Wizard box.

Click Import.
The Select file dialog box
appears.

Select the appropriate CSV file and click
Open.
The Import Wizard dialog box
appears.

Select Semicolon and click
Next.

Select the table you want in the Import to
table list, and click
Finish.
